Waiting is Also Taking Action

These past  two years, I have done a whole lot of waiting.

Waiting to find out if my house sold. Waiting to decide where to live next. Waiting for guidance about the next step to take in my healing work and my business. Waiting for the next sign to fall in my lap.

I must confess that I am not much of a waiter.

I am patient, yet I find that I work better when I take action, and take action quickly.

I sold the house. I decided, within a few days, to move to Cape Cod temporarily. I joined every networking group I could think of. I signed up for a bunch of online trainings in growing my business. I joined a dance troupe. I started renting space here at the Sanctuary, and offering workshops.

And I began to wait…. again.

Waiting for the next step to fall into my lap. Waiting for the next inner guidance to take place. Waiting for my clients to start to find me so I can do the work I am called to do- bring people back to their original energetic blueprint.

It takes courage to say Yes to the unknown in our lives.

It takes courage to wait .

If you are in that stage of your life, you are not alone.

Consider waiting as the amazing gift of being totally present to YOU right now, right here.

Consider waiting  to be a form of trusting in the infinite goodness of the Divine.

Consider waiting as your holy moment.

And , if you feel so inclined, set up a time with me to be healed.

I am here waiting for you.

Finding Blessings in Misfortune by Julie Fraser

I have discovered so much after breaking my arm at the end of February! I never realized how much of daily life requires two hands. So now I’m truly grateful for my everyday life.

I’ve also discovered in this time that seems so challenging that this is all here to teach me some important lessons. One obvious one is simply to slow down and not try to do so much. One handedness slows you down!

But here are some of the other lessons that I now see as blessings:

·       things can change in an instant and you never know what will happen

·       go with the flow and make the best of whatever situation you’re in

·       ask for assistance; people are always happy to help

·       trust both others and your spiritual guides and angels - you are supported

·       let go of control, since your life is unfolding just as it should

·       be grateful for your everyday life and capabilities

These are not new lessons these are ones that all of us have learned over and over our lives. But when you have a misfortune that brings them to the forefront. Recognize that everything that goes wrong is a way for you to better notice and learn those lessons.

A practice that might be useful is to simply notice every time something doesn’t go the way you’d like it to what the lessons might be for you there. Understanding the lesson allows you to better learned and see it as a blessing.

So during this past month being one-handed has been truly my biggest blessing. I do wish you these learning opportunities in the blessings that they bring. I wish you all an easier path for learning your lesson and one with less pain involved.

The light in me sees and salutes the light in each one of you. Namaste.

Don't Just Stand There, Do Something! By Brad Jordan

A year and a half ago, my partner and I purchased a fixer-upper, a traditional Cape style home that needs a lot of TLC.  With me as a practitioner of Feng Shui, it could seem ironic that we of all people ended up with a house with a somewhat funky floor plan that didn’t offer the best flow of chi in certain areas, and a significant lack of storage.  But it overlooks a salt marsh which is adjoining several acres of conservation land abound with wildlife, close to the beach, and we got it for a great price.  We seem to always pick up a diamond in the rough, or the orphaned child, only to remodel and make its potential blossom to become a home that people love to come to, and a place where we want to spend time.

We have learned through our experiences that taking on a large remodeling project can be overwhelming and you need to plan carefully and stay to a short or long term schedule just to keep your sanity and avoid feeling stuck in a hole or a money pit.  It’s not for everyone, and we have learned through trial and error that there are some tasks that we just can’t do and some that we enjoy and do well.  But when we complete a segment of our remodeling plan we feel free, relieved, proud and happy.  We want to keep going on to the next phase.  We can feel the energy or chi moving with us.

In the practice of Feng Shui, it is considered important to not have lingering incomplete projects or things that are forever broken within your space.  This not only applies to remodeling projects, but anything in your life such as a work related project, a diet that isn’t successful, unpaid bills, a leaky faucet, or a door knob that keeps falling off.  You will never make room for new energy to enter your life if you are cluttered with old energy that is stagnant or energy that is broken and can’t go anywhere.  Broken items can also support an impression of a lack of wealth and abundance in your life.

In our house, we have taken care of important functional issues that needed attention right away such as a new roof, furnace, fixtures, appliances, a damaged fireplace and dry rot.  Now we can focus on projects that will enhance the flow of the house and its overall feeling of balance.  This is the fun part because we are looking at each space and identifying areas that need to feel better and planning changes accordingly.  Our first significant endeavor is the finished basement which has choppy rooms and is very dark.  We’ve started tearing down a few walls to improve flow and are working on new colors and flooring options.  The basement has very significant Feng Shui issues to deal with and I will address those, along with our progress in my next blog.

So identify something that you need to get finished in your house or in your personal life, and concentrate on getting it done.  Then look at how you feel with the accomplishment.  If it is impossible to get it done, give it up, find an alternative, or delegate it.  I trust that you will start to feel your energy moving.

But before I focus on the basement, I need to finish painting the trim around the new sliding door in the kitchen!   That would be good Feng Shui.

Going with the Flow by Amy Marino

Feel the Whispers of your Angels and Guides. Go with the Flow. Don't Push...don't Resist. Simply Allow Grace to blow softly into your Sails and Steer. Let Divine Timing handle the Scheduling.

When things don't go according to Our plan, know that Divine Timing may have interveined.  There are many intricate pieces to a Divine Plan.  They simply cannot be rushed.

Imagine your Desire as a newly blooming Rosebud resting in the palm of your hand. If you hold on to it too Tightly, it cannot Open and you will damage and crush the Life from the Rose. Simply Allow. Enjoy the beauty of watching it unfold in it's own Divine Timing. It will Always be Perfect. For if you try to Open the petals and Force it to Bloom before it is Ready, you will Destroy to very thing you are trying to Create. Hold your Desires Lightly.

Much Love & Light, Amy
