The first week of October 2013 is no less dynamic than previous months, as the Uranus-Pluto square is triggered by the New Moon in Libra on 10/4/13 at 8:36 PM EDT. Though Libra is usually a peace loving and diplomatic sign, it will demand justice, fairness and balance under the powerful influence of Uranus-Pluto, which is all about radical reform, revolution and overturning the status quo. This New Moon is great for new beginnings in areas of relating to others, however, there may be all or nothing themes early this month as perceived injustices will be aggressively addressed.
Uranus and Pluto last came together in a conjunction aspect in the mid sixties. They are together again in the challenging square aspect from 2012 – 2015, urging us to manifest the seeds that were planted back in the tumultuous sixties era. During the 2012 through 2015 time period, there will be seven exact square aspects between these outer planets. We will feel the effects or see the effects played out on the world stage, as the next aspect occurs on 10/31/13….in effect most of the month and early next month. Astrological square aspects incite assertive action to meet challenges head on, or they create hurdles to overcome through intensely focused ambition.

Aries energy likes to take charge and initiate. It is bold and pioneering. It can also be impulsive and reckless if its shadow side is evoked. The Full Moon Eclipse Aries – Libra polarity suggests themes of aggression versus collaboration, or leadership versus indecisive cooperation. At its best, we strive for balance between leadership and diplomacy with the utmost integrity.
Shortly after the Lunar Eclipse, Mars in Virgo will oppose Neptune in Pisces on 10/19 – 10/20/13, suggesting unclear motives or action. On the other hand, this is a wonderful time to ground intuition and imagination in a practical manner, as mid to late month, Mars will be transiting the earth sign Virgo. Virgo excels at managing the details of life.
Mercury, the messenger planet, will station retrograde in deep and intense Scorpio for three weeks on 10/21/13 through 11/10/13. It will align closely with Saturn in Scorpio on 10/8 and 10/29/13.
