Waiting is Also Taking Action

These past  two years, I have done a whole lot of waiting.

Waiting to find out if my house sold. Waiting to decide where to live next. Waiting for guidance about the next step to take in my healing work and my business. Waiting for the next sign to fall in my lap.

I must confess that I am not much of a waiter.

I am patient, yet I find that I work better when I take action, and take action quickly.

I sold the house. I decided, within a few days, to move to Cape Cod temporarily. I joined every networking group I could think of. I signed up for a bunch of online trainings in growing my business. I joined a dance troupe. I started renting space here at the Sanctuary, and offering workshops.

And I began to wait…. again.

Waiting for the next step to fall into my lap. Waiting for the next inner guidance to take place. Waiting for my clients to start to find me so I can do the work I am called to do- bring people back to their original energetic blueprint.

It takes courage to say Yes to the unknown in our lives.

It takes courage to wait .

If you are in that stage of your life, you are not alone.

Consider waiting as the amazing gift of being totally present to YOU right now, right here.

Consider waiting  to be a form of trusting in the infinite goodness of the Divine.

Consider waiting as your holy moment.

And , if you feel so inclined, set up a time with me to be healed.

I am here waiting for you.

Tower or Treasure by Amy Marino

Tower or Treasure?

When we experience a powerfully shifting change in our lives, this can sometimes be associated with what I would call a “Tower Event”.  As pictured in the Tarot Card ‘The Tower’, something has shaken us to the core, we may feel as though the carpet has been ripped out from under us so to speak.  Things have been shaken up and the news is not good, carnage has occurred and the bodies are flying.  This can denote such unexpected changes as a marriage ending, getting laid off or fired from a job, major plans falling through or having to pick up and move your business to a new location.

These abrupt changes, though they may appear to have come out of nowhere, have actually been brewing for quite some time.  The marriage or job didn’t just end on a whim one day.  Though we may not want to admit it, there have been problems there for a while.  We may have been unhappy in the job,  relationship or space but have “reasons” for staying.  The more fearful we are of the change, usually the more reasons we can come up with not to change our current circumstances.  Though we may have been “dealing” with it, our head has been buried in the sand to the fact that we need to grow.  Things are stagnant, we have outgrown our current circumstances in some way.  The Universe gives us chance after chance to make a change on our own, we receive sign after sign that something in our lives isn’t working and needs a shift.

But change can be scary, so if we don’t take the plunge out of the nest on our own….along comes Mama bird to give us a push and the Universe delivers us a Tower Event in a nice little package of forced change.  The messier and more dramatic the event, the more intricate the planning that went it the creation of the event.  The exact people, places and circumstances must come precisely together in a perfect storm to clean the slate for us.  Karma may be being played out to be cleared as well.  This event would have been coordinated in every way down to the last detail.  The horrifying moment can be realizing we are actually the creators of these periods of seeming chaos in our lives.

The good news is there’s a treasure in there somewhere.  We can play the martyr, the victim, have a pity party wondering why the whole world has conspired against us.  Or we can look for the treasure…...and wonder how the whole universe is conspiring to help us.  It’s in there somewhere amidst the dust and rubble.  This shining precious treasure is what we take with us as we learn, pick up and rebuild.  The treasure is the lesson, the experience, the journey.  This is a tremendous opportunity for learning and growth.  I often think of the child knocking down his block building to restart and build again, something newer, bigger, better.    You can’t build  a new house on a shoddy foundation so down it all must come.  We rise to the challenge and create something new that matches our current vibration, needs and circumstances.  This is the Phoenix rising from the ashes, more beautiful and ascending to the next level of existence.

With every ending comes a new beginning and while our little space chosen by the Fairies 3 years ago has served us so well, it is time to spring from the nest and transform to the next level of our evolution of as the Cape’s best metaphysical store, intuitive healing center and school.  Thank you for your support, business, referrals an friendship over the last 3 years.  I have learned and grown in ways I couldn’t have even imagined at the time The Sanctuary was being created.  I can’t wait to see what is to come next and I hope you will continue this beautiful journey with us as a new sacred space is created you.  This girl is on fire so watch out world as this Phoenix rises to new heights!

Love & Light, Amy

Finding Blessings in Misfortune by Julie Fraser

I have discovered so much after breaking my arm at the end of February! I never realized how much of daily life requires two hands. So now I’m truly grateful for my everyday life.

I’ve also discovered in this time that seems so challenging that this is all here to teach me some important lessons. One obvious one is simply to slow down and not try to do so much. One handedness slows you down!

But here are some of the other lessons that I now see as blessings:

·       things can change in an instant and you never know what will happen

·       go with the flow and make the best of whatever situation you’re in

·       ask for assistance; people are always happy to help

·       trust both others and your spiritual guides and angels - you are supported

·       let go of control, since your life is unfolding just as it should

·       be grateful for your everyday life and capabilities

These are not new lessons these are ones that all of us have learned over and over our lives. But when you have a misfortune that brings them to the forefront. Recognize that everything that goes wrong is a way for you to better notice and learn those lessons.

A practice that might be useful is to simply notice every time something doesn’t go the way you’d like it to what the lessons might be for you there. Understanding the lesson allows you to better learned and see it as a blessing.

So during this past month being one-handed has been truly my biggest blessing. I do wish you these learning opportunities in the blessings that they bring. I wish you all an easier path for learning your lesson and one with less pain involved.

The light in me sees and salutes the light in each one of you. Namaste.

To Change is to Grow by Amy Marino

So why do we resist?  Change is coming.  It is as inevitable as the seasons rolling on, forever in a cycle of growth, change, death and rebirth.  When we sense change coming or know it is inevitable, do we dig our heels in and resist or do we walk ahead willingly into the unknown?  How we handle this transition will greatly affect the outcome - weather it’s an easy transition that flows with ease and grace or it’s difficult with bumps and obstacles at every turn.  I have learned from experience the more you resist, the more difficult the waters of transition are to traverse.  For resistance brings more resistance.

When we surrender to the flow, things move forward effortlessly as if being guided by some magical force…which of course it is.  So it is always therefore, in our highest and best interest to move with the flow even when that tide is shifting and changing the landscape of our reality, dragging the old stagnant unused energy and situations out into the ocean to be transmuted to a new higher vibration and washing ashore new experiences for growth, renewal, transformation.  Experiences, some of which will surely push us to our limits.  When we look back on the most challenging times in our lives, even those filled with the most turbulence and pain, these have surely been the biggest growth and learning experiences in our entire lives.  For that is the nature of existence, the nature of nature.

Many times our faith is required as we face enormous change.  We usually cannot see what things will be like beyond the other side of the change.  By working to open your intuitive guidance system (IGS) you can be better prepared by knowing when change is coming and the types of shifts it will involve.  You may be able to see into the most likely outcome of a situation or various outcomes based on the feel of the energy or choices you make.  There will always be times however where no amount of cards, pendulum dousing or praying will produce the answers of what lies ahead.  I have found during these times there are several reasons you may not be able to intuit an outcome.

1)     There are other people involved who have not yet made decisions or are changing their minds. They have mixed emotions and have not themselves been able to gain clarity on the situation.

2)     The information is not supposed to be known because it will change an important outcome which must happen such as a death for one example.

3)     If you knew this information you would lose the experience of learning it and thus lose the lesson.  Unfortunately when we don’t really understand the point of the lesson we usually have to have a do over which can be unpleasant.  Are you being shown the same lesson over and over again?  Then you haven’t actually gotten it yet.  You’re still working on mastering that one.

If you need help working through a transition or getting clarity about what lessons keep showing up for you, please contact me for a reading.  If you are interested in opening your own intuitive guidance system one on one or in a group setting, please contact me about mentoring or my Spiritual Development workshop series.

Have faith that surely whatever lies on the other side will be exactly what you need right now.  May all your transitions be filled with ease and Grace.

Love and Light, Amy

Don't Just Stand There, Do Something! By Brad Jordan

A year and a half ago, my partner and I purchased a fixer-upper, a traditional Cape style home that needs a lot of TLC.  With me as a practitioner of Feng Shui, it could seem ironic that we of all people ended up with a house with a somewhat funky floor plan that didn’t offer the best flow of chi in certain areas, and a significant lack of storage.  But it overlooks a salt marsh which is adjoining several acres of conservation land abound with wildlife, close to the beach, and we got it for a great price.  We seem to always pick up a diamond in the rough, or the orphaned child, only to remodel and make its potential blossom to become a home that people love to come to, and a place where we want to spend time.

We have learned through our experiences that taking on a large remodeling project can be overwhelming and you need to plan carefully and stay to a short or long term schedule just to keep your sanity and avoid feeling stuck in a hole or a money pit.  It’s not for everyone, and we have learned through trial and error that there are some tasks that we just can’t do and some that we enjoy and do well.  But when we complete a segment of our remodeling plan we feel free, relieved, proud and happy.  We want to keep going on to the next phase.  We can feel the energy or chi moving with us.

In the practice of Feng Shui, it is considered important to not have lingering incomplete projects or things that are forever broken within your space.  This not only applies to remodeling projects, but anything in your life such as a work related project, a diet that isn’t successful, unpaid bills, a leaky faucet, or a door knob that keeps falling off.  You will never make room for new energy to enter your life if you are cluttered with old energy that is stagnant or energy that is broken and can’t go anywhere.  Broken items can also support an impression of a lack of wealth and abundance in your life.

In our house, we have taken care of important functional issues that needed attention right away such as a new roof, furnace, fixtures, appliances, a damaged fireplace and dry rot.  Now we can focus on projects that will enhance the flow of the house and its overall feeling of balance.  This is the fun part because we are looking at each space and identifying areas that need to feel better and planning changes accordingly.  Our first significant endeavor is the finished basement which has choppy rooms and is very dark.  We’ve started tearing down a few walls to improve flow and are working on new colors and flooring options.  The basement has very significant Feng Shui issues to deal with and I will address those, along with our progress in my next blog.

So identify something that you need to get finished in your house or in your personal life, and concentrate on getting it done.  Then look at how you feel with the accomplishment.  If it is impossible to get it done, give it up, find an alternative, or delegate it.  I trust that you will start to feel your energy moving.

But before I focus on the basement, I need to finish painting the trim around the new sliding door in the kitchen!   That would be good Feng Shui.

"Let Go or Be Dragged." ~Zen Proverb

Change is scary.  The bad news (actually it's also the good news!) is that change is inevitable.  When we resist it, it creates all kinds of blocks and chaos in our lives.  When we embrace it, doors are opened and miracles are created because the Universe is just waiting for us to say "YES!" and take a deep breath and dive in.  Your shadows have created the fear of illusion when the truth of the matter is...there is never a time when you are not completely safe.

Change pushes us to expand and grow.  Without it we would become bored, stagnant and stunted.  Just as the Seasons change to promote newness and cycles for growth, so does our Soul so it can learn from experiencing as many things as possible revolving around our Soul Lessons (the stuff we came to learn in this lifetime).  There is no good or bad, only experience.  That is a human label we put on things to give them order or placement in our world.  As soon as we see a change for what it really is, something that is being cleared out of our lives because it is no longer working for us and there is something higher and better waiting, the leap becomes easier.  Trust in your inner guidance, trust your urgings and nudgings, trust the signs you are receiving.  Open the door to your new life and boldly walk through as though you know it will be the most amazing experience!

If you need further support or insight with changes you are experiencing, call me to book an appointment and we can explore this topic together with your Angels and Guides in a gentle, supportive way that will shift, uplift and promote healing at the heart of the matter.
Love & Gratitude,
Amy
