We all know there is an element of risk involved when going for a Psychic Reading.  Sometimes that's part of the excitement.  And while Readings are deemed for "entertainment purposes only" there are times when we really need guidance, answers, confirmations and direction.  So who do you turn to?  And how can you be sure your Psychic's information is accurate?  What should you watch out for to avoid getting scammed?

Always beware someone who does not look you in the eye.  Though there are exceptions, pay attention.

What is your gut feeling about the Reader when you meet them? Trust your feelings. 

How does the energy of the space you will be getting the reading in feel?  You can feel a Reader's energy in their work space.  It should feel good.

Is their outfit trying to convince you of how psychic they are?  That's not to say eccentric dressers are not psychic.

If your Spidey-sense is telling you that you should leave without having the reading, listen.  Your Highest Self knows something's not right or maybe the timing's not right for you to have a reading.

Does the Reader open with any type of intention, prayer or protection?  While all Readers may not do this, it can help your level of comfort during the reading and ensure the sacredness of the information being received.

Does what the Reader is saying resonate with you or does it feel foreign?  Many times in my readings, information that is coming through is not anything the Sitter wasn't already thinking, they just needed a conformation from Spirit.  That's not to say surprising things don't come up in the midst of  a reading.....they do!  Spirit has an interesting way of working and I always hope the client is open to what ever place the reading takes us because that's where the healing, shifting or clarity will come from.  

When a reading gets going for me, there are usually conformations the client receives towards the beginning so they can feel at ease, stop worrying about whether or not the reading is real and focus on the other information that is coming through.  

How do you feel when you leave the reading?  Do you feel fearful or do you feel shifted and uplifted with a new found clarity?  And that doesn't mean because a Psychic told you that you are going to win the lottery.  When you can say yes to the later, you have found a good Reader.

During the reading beware Readers who fish for information and never really say much in the way of giving you confirmations.  They may break up the reading with bits of accurate information in between trying to set you up for the idea that you "need" additional costly services.

Does the Reader issue warnings or predict tragic events or the death of yourself or people around you?  Beware...  that's not to say that this type of information can't come through in a reading.  Warnings can be brought through from Loved Ones, but usually with measures that you can take to avoid the issue such as "Check the brake lines on the car or there's going to be an accident."  However, when I sit with a client we open with a prayer and state the intention that all information must be for the highest and best of the Sitter.  That type of tragic information is rarely for the highest and  best especially since there is often nothing we can do about it.  

I remember meeting someone who told me her husband was at a party as a teenager and someone read his palm and told him he was going to die at age 62.  The man lived his whole life in fear, for knowing the time of his death haunted him through out his life, and still did, even though he had recently turned 63.  His wife was very concerned for him as he was going in for surgery soon.  So the reading even affected others in his life who knew of this ominous prediction.  In my mind this is just irresponsible reading.  While the Reader has the obligation to be truthful, there are ethics involved in not creating fear within people.  On the other hand, there is also a need to be honest and forthright when the information may not be what the Sitter wants to hear, such as a betrayal or the ending of a relationship.  Sometimes the information is hard to deliver.  I also advise to not ask questions you don't really want the answer to.  In this case, the man didn't ask, the Reader wasn't accurate and the man and his family lived most of his life believing he would die at a fairly young age.

Resent scams I have heard of from clients include fear based tactics that bait you into multiple readings, clearing sessions or large purchases. Beware anyone who tells you that you have a lot of negative energy around you, a negative entity attached to you or the mark of the Devil.  They may try to convince you that the only way to clear this negative energy is by pricey, extensive means.  You may be pressured into a purchase of specially blessed medals or candles you will need to burn for healing or clearing, costing hundreds up to thousands of dollars.  The Reader may in fact be psychically accurate but not necessarily honest and ethical.  These types of Readers will often tell you not to tell anyone.  Alarm bells should be going off at this point.

That being said, there are many reputable Readers with integrity offering their services.  Look for someone who is referred by some one you know and trust.  Look for someone with a good reputation.  Read their testimonials. Ask Spirit to be Guided to the right Reader for you and watch for the Signs. Most honest Readers will not charge you if they have an off reading and can't connect for you or if you are really unhappy with the reading.  Don't be afraid to ask questions about how the reading will go, the Reader's style, tools or what to expect.  If something doesn't feel right, it probably isn't.  Listen to your instincts.  You are more psychic than you know.

If you've been following the Facebook page, early on in the month of June when Mercury Retrograde began, you may remember me complaining about the electronics going down. It was bad.  It was real bad.  Daily there were issues, printer down, Microsoft Word down, documents lost and trying to be recovered. Windows down.  Facebook down.  It was brutal just trying to prepare for classes or get anything done.  Retrograde always seems to interrupt the good flow we have with our technology.  

This was just the beginning however, of a REtrograde to make the record books.  Things began to surface in every area of my life for REevaluation.  Mis-communications exploded into REactive situations.  Issues I thought were put to rest REsurfaced in typical retrograde fashion.  Retrograde is all about the RE.

Lots of changes began to take place.  Lots of REdoing, REstructuring. REorganizing. Some change I eagerly embraced.  Some I needed time to digest and process.  Some I outright resisted.

And then the Drama hit.  In the true spirit of the 4th of July, the last days of retrograde, it was a full week of climactic fireworks.  Retrograde just had to go out with a bang.  And boy was it a doozie.  My first reaction was I don't "DO" Drama!  But I figured I should play along since I co-created the script and see what I had in store for myself.  It was a perfect storm of chaos.  And it was spectacular.  A true series of devastating "Tower"events.  The kind that rip the rug out from under you when you least expect it.  But plans are dashed for a reason and there are always blessings in disguise when the dust settles.  Once you clear the rubble, you will find a clean slate awaiting your artistry.

My physical body also took a hit due to the tumultuous emotions being brought to the surface for clearing.  Almost immediately I RE-injured a part of the body that was already weakened but healing. I thought about the meaning and messages of it, the area of the body I was feeling this tremendous pain and why did I need this injury?  Many answers came as I soaked for a long time in the healing salt bath.


But the beauty.  I am in awe of the beauty of it, even the painful parts.  The delicate intricacy of the design of the web of synchronistic events, converging into a masterpiece like a symphony, is truly something to behold.  Nothing is about what it appears to be on the surface.  The layers are infinite.  The karma that is being balanced or created.  The lessons that are being learned - or not.  The soul contracts that are being fulfilled by all the participants of the screen play.  The decisions that would alter the path of fate and destiny,  The paths that would have come off of those paths had different choices been made.  And are we playing out all of those variances of choices for learning in another reality or dimension?  The emotions that well up with in us and alter those decisions.  The words we say which change outcomes whether we know it or not.  The words we don't say.  The shifting vibrations of resistance or acceptance.  The circumstances of environment.  The X factors of Free Will that can't be accounted for .  Our Divine Life Purpose.  The Collective Consciousness.  The past life connections and roles we've played out with one another echoing in reverberation, creating kaleidoscopes of patterns upon the current dramas.  The triggers happening for us to release that inside which we no longer need.  All of these things play a part in the unfolding of a perfect drama and must be taken into consideration when looking for clarity.  One thing I know to be true:  There are no coincidences. 

The other thing I know to be true:  Love never fails.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.  Love never fails. -1 Corinthians 13:4-8

We always have choices of how we will react in any given drama.  We can go into fear.  We can lash out.  We can defend and fight.  Or we can move into Love.  

When we sit in the Lotus of Love, everything else melts away.  We breathe in Love for ourselves.  We breathe out Love for every living Being.  We feel the Love filling our bodies, filling our minds, our hearts, our Souls, our aura, until we are only emitting the frequency of Love.  Sending extra Love to the areas of pain in the body, talking to them, giving them acknowledgement, Love and appreciation.  Love heals all wounds.

We also must forgive ourselves.  We are perfectly imperfect in a profoundly beautiful way.  We are just here at Earth school for learning.  And no matter how we think we did on the test - aced - passed - failed - it was not about the grade at all but the experience as a whole and the gifts it brings.  It is always a gift of growth, always.  That's why we write these dramas in the first place.  

We should also forgive and send Love to those we feel have hurt us.  It will only be toxic to hold those feelings in our body temples and we will suffer greatly for it, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.  If we can take it to the higher perspective of the Angels, we can see that there is nothing to forgive.  There is only Love and challenges for learning purposes.   When we lash out and hurt others we are only lashing out and hurting ourselves because we are one. I am you and you are me.  Just a different aspect of, like the facet of a diamond.  

There is nothing like Love and Gratitude to dissipate the charge and energy of a drama.  A very wise and dear confidant also told me to view it as if it were an ant hill, like it doesn't matter.  Just step over it and move on, she said.  She also suggested I put the whole situation in a shoe box and give it to my protector, Archangel Michael.  I sent him away with it to be brought to heaven and transmuted to Love.  

As I meditated in the Love and sank deep into it, I began to hear a crystal singing bowl, clear as day, as if it were playing right in front of me.  It reverberated through my body, spreading and penetrating the Love even deeper, into every cell of my being.  Tears of joy came to my eyes.  With eyes closed, swirling emerald green colors began to appear before me, then mixed with some blue as the crystal bowl tones began to change to several different notes.  Fear, anger and other lower vibrational feelings began to leave my body at different exit points.  Some from the wounded area, some from other places in the body where it was being stored.  I wanted to stay in that vibration forever but eventually after quite some time, the colors faded and the tones were gone a while after that.  I felt lighter and uplifted as I felt all my Angels and Guides gathered around me, infusing me with healing and rainbow Light. 

I prayed to be sent what I  needed and sure enough, it showed up the very next day in multiple forms.  I laughed about the situation, rendering it powerless over me.     Even my injury finally began to feel as though it was healing.  This too shall pass.  I felt joyful and positive as I could feel myself moving back into the flow of Divine Spirit.  I give thanks for my lessons and teachers, in all their forms and simply ask that I move through the learning with ease and Grace.  And with much Love.  Love never fails.

Ever so slowly, spring has finally sprung in all of its glory here on Cape Cod.  We have been spending every available moment out in the yard   planning and planting, and ending each day exhausted and sore but filled with joy and hope for abundant results.

In the practice of Feng Shui, the exterior of your home or space sets the stage for the energy that comes into the interior. If there is no flow and harmony outside, good energies such as abundance, wellness, and safety could be blocked from making it into the inside. 

If you are just starting out, a key area to focus on is the front door which in Feng Shui is considered the mouth of chi.  The mouth of chi acts like a funnel and captures good energy to lead it towards the door.  To get a positive flow going, make sure that there is a light, clear, and visible path to the front door.  The door should be in good working order and painted a color that soothes your soul and brings the eye towards it.  Enhance the entrance with what we call greeters which serve to bring attention to a space and move energy through.  Greeters can be wind chimes, flags, and colorful flowers that are inviting and cheerful.  Consider attracting abundance with a fountain that flows towards the door or bubbles up and falls vertically.  Make sure that the pathway leading towards the door accommodates visitors appropriately and is a smooth and safe (a standard design rule is to provide a walkway if possible where two people can walk side by side to approach an entrance).  If your path is meandering, avoid dead ends or sharp and blind turns.  Guide visitors and energy to the door with smooth rounded corners.  Make sure that the entrance is clean and organized for a grounded feel.  The doormat should not be worn and dirty.  Decorations don’t have to be massive and overbearing to be effective.  Just go with your own taste and budget and what feels good to you. 

Your changes don’t have to necessarily cost money.  Make them as you can and then sit back and enjoy the fruits of your efforts.  Hopefully you will feel good and accomplished, and start to feel a positive shift which affects those who reside in and enter your space. 

Now that is good Feng Shui!

You can also get much more zealous in the yard by creating outdoor rooms to enjoy in all seasons.  We are currently planning an outdoor meditation and creative area which I will share in an upcoming blog.

These past  two years, I have done a whole lot of waiting.

Waiting to find out if my house sold. Waiting to decide where to live next. Waiting for guidance about the next step to take in my healing work and my business. Waiting for the next sign to fall in my lap.

I must confess that I am not much of a waiter.

I am patient, yet I find that I work better when I take action, and take action quickly.

I sold the house. I decided, within a few days, to move to Cape Cod temporarily. I joined every networking group I could think of. I signed up for a bunch of online trainings in growing my business. I joined a dance troupe. I started renting space here at the Sanctuary, and offering workshops.

And I began to wait…. again.

Waiting for the next step to fall into my lap. Waiting for the next inner guidance to take place. Waiting for my clients to start to find me so I can do the work I am called to do- bring people back to their original energetic blueprint.

It takes courage to say Yes to the unknown in our lives.

It takes courage to wait .

If you are in that stage of your life, you are not alone.

Consider waiting as the amazing gift of being totally present to YOU right now, right here.

Consider waiting  to be a form of trusting in the infinite goodness of the Divine.

Consider waiting as your holy moment.

Feng Shui is not just a way to design your home.  Clearing your clutter and releasing personal items that no longer serve you is one of the most fundamental first steps in practicing Feng Shui in your home or space.  This is not only a process to get started but also an ongoing practice as you and your spaces evolve and change.  Clutter is considered anything that you don’t use or love, and anything that does not serve you in your current life path.  It also is considered to be a representation of the inability to move forward and make decisions.  When you get rid of clutter, you make room for energy to flow and by closing one door you make room for new beginnings through a new one. 

I recently moved my grandmother’s piano back home with me from California to Cape Cod.  Her piano has been one of my most beloved possessions to have since she passed away almost 25 years ago, but lately I have been thinking about the fact that I really don’t play it much anymore, and it isn’t a good fit for the limited space that we have in the new house.  I started exploring my feelings about how could I bear to think about selling it or giving it away?   Or ultimately, what would happen to it if I passed on?  At a family get together I asked if anyone would like to have Nana’s piano and nobody had either a place for it or an interest in having it.  So the dilemma became more prominent and I started thinking that I want to know the destiny of the piano during my lifetime.     

Two weeks ago we were out walking the dogs and bumped into a neighbor.  In our conversation she mentioned that her daughter wants to major in music in college.  She currently sings and writes music and her piano teacher just told her mom that they should consider getting a piano because she is too gifted of a player for just a keyboard.  I immediately mentioned my piano and my willingness to let her have it, and after showing it to her and telling her the story, she accepted the gift for her daughter in tears with gratitude.  We got together and moved the piano next door and their daughter sat down and sang to a song that she played.  Standing there to experience this immediately brought an unbelievable feeling of love and peace for the decision that I made.  The weather is now warm and we are all outside a lot and everyone has their doors and windows open.  Through the past week while sitting on the patio or working in the yard, I have heard my grandmother’s piano playing through the neighborhood.  It is emotional and I am full of joy and thanks for this happy ending.  

And now that the door has closed for this chapter of my life, another has opened with space for a new dining room server that I have wanted for years.   Now that is good Feng Shui!   

JUNE 2014 Astrology Forecast

***Mars, the planet of action or war, triggers the ongoing Uranus – Pluto square this month (see below).  Life can throw some of us some major curve balls under these potent aspects.  It can also force us to make some long needed changes for our highest and best.  It is wise to think first, act later….not act first and regret later.

Dynamic energies this month:

6/7/14- Mercury, the communications planet, stations retrograde at 3 degrees of Cancer today for the next three weeks.  It will station direct 7/1/14 at 24 degrees of Gemini.  We can use this retrograde time productively by reviewing, revising, reconsidering, or reuniting with friends and family.  It does not always have to be stressful.  Expect possible delays or technology mishaps and try to go with the flow.  This is not an auspicious time to initiate a major under taking, however, it is a good time to make plans behind the scenes to initiate next month when Mercury is direct.  Beware of missing details in important contracts or legal paperwork.   It is also a good time to finish up old projects and tie up loose ends.  As always, confirm all travel reservations and leave for the airport early!

6/9/14- Neptune, the psychic, ethereal, imaginative and creative planet, stations retrograde at 7 degrees of mystical and sensitive water sign Pisces today.  This is an excellent time to cultivate our inner vision or intuition.  Our perceptions are extremely acute at this time.  It’s important to try and avoid draining people, places or things which sap our energy.  Pisces energy is so sensitive, a station of Neptune, which rules Pisces, can amplify our desire to escape unpleasant situations in non-constructive ways.   Our physical bodies are also very sensitive to medications, drugs and alcohol at this time. 

6/13/14- FULL MOON at 22 degrees of fire sign Sagittarius at 12:13 AM EDT.  A Full Moon is an energetically potent time for both illumination and release.  In Sagittarius, adventure, travel, higher learning, philosophy and sporting events are more in the spotlight.  This is a wonderful time to open up to new vistas or go on a vision quest.  The Mercury retrograde with a Full Moon in Sagittarius is very supportive to go inward seeking the truth.

6/12-6/13/14- Venus in Taurus opposes Saturn in Scorpio.  This adds a sobering chill to love and romance matters.  However, on the bright side, commitments are taken very seriously.  Social engagements may feel heavy or demanding.

6/13-6/14/14- Mars at 12 degrees of Libra square Pluto at 12 degrees of Capricorn…Ouch!  This is heavy energy which may bring out hostilities or anger in some people and places on our planet.  This type of energy often evokes some kind of violence or eruption on a collective level.  On another note, there is extreme determination and willpower to make changes.  If a fighting spirit is needed to go on….this aspect will lend support.

6/19/14- Sun in Gemini aligns with retrograde Mercury in Gemini.  Air sign Gemini is social, diverse, communicative and always on the go.  It rules networking, short trips and all things related to communication.  Our minds are buzzing with information and ideas.  There is an “air” of sociability today.

6/21/14- The Sun enters 0 degrees of Cancer at Summer Solstice today- celebrate the longest day of the year offering us the beginning of long, light filled summer days.

6/24-6/25/14- Mars, the warrior planet, next confronts rebel Uranus with a challenging opposition aspect, completing the collision with the Uranus-Pluto square.  This is a very unsettled and tense time when unexpected events, accidents, eruptions or sudden change may be in the forefront.  This is a temperamental alignment.  On the bright side, this aspect is often found in charts of brilliant minded people who excel in science, math and technology.  It can also suggest sudden progress or advances in the collective.

6/27/14- NEW MOON at 5 degrees of water sign Cancer at 4:10 AM EDT.  This New Moon will harmoniously align with mystical Neptune in Pisces, enhancing new beginnings related to emotion, home, family and nurturing.  It will make a wide opposition to Pluto, suggesting an auspicious time to initiate change and transformation in regard to all Cancer matters.

6/29/14- Venus in Gemini square Neptune in Pisces.  Things are not as they seem today.  Boundaries may be blurred and escapism may be yearned for.  This is an imaginative and dreamy time.  It is best to engage in right brain activities and refrain from making long term decisions today.  We do not have all the facts though we may believe we are doing the right thing.

Certain sounds can bring you into a different mood or thought pattern. Birds singing in the spring are a great example. The sound of a beloved being’s voice may be another.

Sound affects us in ways and at levels that are far deeper than we typically understand. If we allow the vibration of sound to penetrate us without resistance, we can begin to vibrate at our own best and truest as well. Similarly, when a sound fades away into silence, you can experience peace. The stillness in our surroundings can help us to find a stillness within.

During the closing period of my classes, I play singing crystal bowls. These healing tones can bring deeper peace to the final relaxation or savasana of a yoga class or to certain parts of a guided meditation. The silence that surrounds those sounds is also healing.

Take time to notice how sound and silence work for your highest and best.

The soul is defined as the truth of who we really are, the reflection of the divine in human form, the fingerprint of the hand of God. When we meet a person who is full of soul, we feel different around them, as if  we are being lifted up to the best of who we really are.

In most cases.

Sometimes, a person full of soul bothers our inner selves. We feel resistant , critical, defensive, defenseless, better than,  worse than. To me, these are all reactions to our own soul's longing, only we don't know how to access what our soul is really saying.

In many cultures around the globe, there is a support network set up from pre-birth to nourish the soul of each individual as they enter into their community. For example, in one African tribe, before a baby is born, the mother goes to a private area in nature to meditate on the song of her child. She learns her child's song, and teaches it to her tribe. When the child is born, the tribe sings that song to the child. If the child strays, the song is sung to bring the child back to their SOUL.

This Western culture doesn't always have the rituals set up to accomplish this exquisite task of singing the soul into being or back into being.We may not know, or understand how to fully access our soul's calling or purpose.

To see what your soul might be singing to you, take a few moments to answer these questions.

1. What do you consider your greatest virtue?
2. How do you practice this virtue in your daily life?
3. Imagine someone close to you telling you what your highest virtue is. Is it the same as the virtue you named in the first question?
4. Why or why not?

Mercury, the communication planet, linked to dreamy or escapist Neptune amps up psychic intuition, imagination or creativity.  However, discrimination is needed in all forms of communication.  The logical mind may not perceive things as they really are.  We can feel a bit confused or spacey today.  With Neptune, all is not as it seems. 

5/14/14- Full Moon in Scorpio at 3:17 PM EDT- All Full Moons call for a balance of opposing energies.  Scorpio themes are extremely potent at this time: intensity, all or nothing, transformation, endings and beginnings, facing fears and intimacy.  The Full Moon is closely aligned with Saturn in Scorpio, suggesting increased responsibility and serious emotions regarding above themes.  Moon-Saturn can feel moody and depressed at times.  On a positive note, this is a great time to make a much needed change that requires courage and discipline.

5/14-5/15/14- Venus in Aries conjoins Uranus and squares Pluto- Venus in close contact with experimental, rebellious and wild card Uranus and intense, all or nothing Pluto suggest sudden surprising developments that force hidden matters to the surface to be confronted or challenged.

The cardinal grand cross continues this month.  Conflicting energies are competing for resolution.  Appeasing all planetary archetypes without challenges occurring is unlikely.  Discord and disruption is part of the process of learning and growing through change.

5/18/14- Venus in Aries square Jupiter in Cancer- This alignment can suggest too much of a good thing if over-indulgent.  However, the mood is generous, expansive and benevolent today.

5/19/14- MARS STATIONS DIRECT in LIBRA!  Mars, the action planet, has been retrograde in Libra since 3/1/14.  Finally, forward momentum will begin in all Mars related matters:  How we assert ourselves, how and where we invest our energies, how we do not assert ourselves, how we handle or do not handle anger or how we take the initiative.  Many of us have made some significant internal changes over the last few months, changes that will become more externalized going forward.  Mars will remain in the sign of Libra through July 2014.  Do you know where this area is in your birth chart?  This is where we have been challenged to redirect our energies in our own unique manner.

Mars will soon trigger the Uranus – Pluto square mid to late June 2014, activating more of the same: sudden or shocking developments that provoke unrest.  Mars is the warrior archetype and Uranus is the rebel archetype.  Pluto is the death and rebirth archetype or irrevocable change.  Of course, there may be sudden, innovative developments which promote positive, evolutionary growth and change as well.

5/28/14- New Moon in Gemini square Neptune in Pisces- Gemini is all about thought, communication, travel, networking and diversity.  New beginnings are seeded during the dark of the New Moon.  The square to Neptune deepens our capacity to healing and intuitive insights.  “Inspired ideas”  are a theme over the next few weeks.  On another note, the square to Neptune can blur boundaries and confuse us.  Apply discrimination to any new endeavors that challenge mental clarity.
